Description

Ingredients

  • Marinara sauce
  • Water
  • Italian seasoning
  • Kosher salt
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Uncooked pasta
  • Thawed meatballs
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh herbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F and spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In the prepared baking dish, whisk together marinara sauce, water, Italian seasoning, kosher salt, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Add uncooked pasta and thawed meatballs to the dish, stirring to combine. Ensure noodles are submerged in the sauce.
  4. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 35 minutes.
  5. After baking, remove the foil and stir gently. Check the pasta for doneness. If still hard, cover and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, then check again.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top and bake uncovered for another 5-10 minutes until the cheese melts and the pasta is tender.
  7. Garnish with Parmesan cheese and fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Feel free to add veggies such as spinach or bell peppers for extra flavor.
This dish can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes to the marinara sauce.
