Description

This Honey Dijon Garlic Chicken is a must-try! With tender chicken breasts glazed in a tantalizing mix of honey and garlic, it’s a quick, flavorful option for any dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large boneless skinless chicken breasts, about 6 ounces each
  • pinch salt and pepper
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 6 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp whole grain dijon mustard
  • pinch salt and pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with aluminum foil, allowing space around the chicken for even cooking.
  • In a small sauté pan, melt the butter over medium heat, then add minced garlic and soften for 30 to 60 seconds without browning.
  • Stir in honey and whole grain Dijon mustard with a pinch of salt and pepper; simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then place in the hot baking pan with some space in between.
  • Pour the hot honey Dijon glaze evenly over the chicken breasts, then bake for 15 minutes.
  • After 15 minutes, baste the chicken with the collected glaze, then cook for an additional 15-20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 170°F (77°C).
  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving to ensure juicy meat.

Notes

Ensure the chicken is evenly spaced in the pan for consistent cooking.
Basting the chicken helps to keep it moist and flavorful during cooking.
Letting the chicken rest after baking is crucial for redistribution of juices.
