Description
These Acorn Donut Holes are irresistibly sweet, featuring glazed donut holes coated in melted chocolate and sprinkled with colorful jimmies. Perfect for gatherings or casual snacking, they offer a simple yet delightful treat that everyone will love!
Ingredients
Scale
- 20 glazed donut holes
- ¾ cup chocolate chips
- 10–20 pretzel sticks
- ¾ cup chocolate jimmies sprinkles
Instructions
- If your pretzel sticks are long, snap them in half so you only need 10 instead of 20.
- Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl by heating in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Pour chocolate sprinkles into a separate bowl and set nearby.
- Dip the top of each donut hole in melted chocolate, scraping off excess on the bowl's edge.
- Immediately dip into the sprinkles to adhere them to the chocolate.
- Gently press a pretzel stick into the chocolate end of each donut hole to create the acorn stem without knocking off sprinkles.
- Place each completed donut hole on a parchment-lined tray, and repeat the process until they are all done.
- Chill in the fridge or freezer for 5 minutes for the chocolate to set, or enjoy immediately while the chocolate is still melty.
Notes
For a fun variation, try using white chocolate instead of regular chocolate.
These donut holes can be made ahead of time and stored in an airtight container for a few days.
Consider using different kinds of sprinkles for a festive touch.
