Description

This Air Fryer Sweet and Spicy Salmon offers a delightful flavor combination with minimal prep time. It’s a quick, healthy meal featuring fresh salmon, brown sugar, and spices, making it perfect for busy weeknights or special dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound salmon, (4) 4-ounce filets
  • 2 teaspoons spicy brown mustard
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped; for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pat the salmon dry with a paper towel, then use a pastry brush to add about 1/2 teaspoon of mustard to each salmon filet. Sprinkle each of the filets with 1/4 of the spice mixture, then let the salmon sit for about 10 minutes before cooking.
  4. After 10 minutes, place salmon in the preheated air fryer, giving each filet about an inch of space on all sides. If they don't all fit, cook them in batches. Cook for 6-8 minutes, or until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 135 degrees F.
  5. Once cooked, remove the filets from the air fryer and transfer to a plate. Cover with aluminum foil while cooking any remaining salmon. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm. Enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to adjust the spice level by adding more or less mustard.
Ensure the salmon filets are of uniform thickness for even cooking.
