Description

This Apple Cider Donut Bundt Cake features irresistible flavors from fresh apple cider and spices, creating a delightful dessert perfect for gatherings or cozy evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups (500 g) all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups (600 g) granulated sugar
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 4 teaspoons apple pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 ½ cups apple cider, or apple juice
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • ¼ cup (½ stick / 57 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup apple cider
  • ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons apple pie spice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a Bundt pan with baking spray that contains flour or use butter and flour.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, apple pie spice, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix apple cider, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla until well blended.
  4. Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients and stir gently until just mixed, ensuring not to overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan evenly.
  6. Bake for 50 to 65 minutes. Check with a toothpick for doneness; it should come out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 to 15 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack.
  8. While the cake is warm, drizzle the ¼ cup apple cider over the surface.
  9. Mix the sugar and apple pie spice in a small bowl and sprinkle it over the warm cake, pressing it gently for even coverage.
  10. Allow the cake to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

Ensure the ingredients are at room temperature for better mixing.
Do not overmix the batter, or the cake may become dense.
Store leftovers in an airtight container to keep them fresh.
