Description

This Cinnamon Roll Apple Pie combines the irresistible flavors of cinnamon rolls and apple pie filling, featuring a quick and easy crumble on top. It’s a delightful treat for any occasion, whether you’re making a comforting dessert or a sweet addition to dinner.

  • 1 (12.4 oz) roll pillsbury cinnamon rolls
  • 1 egg white, whipped
  • 1 (21 oz) can apple pie filling
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 6 tbsp butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup pecans, chopped
  • vanilla ice cream, optional
  • ghirardelli caramel sauce, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 10-inch pan with non-stick spray.
  2. Flatten 8 cinnamon rolls and place them at the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. Brush the flattened cinnamon rolls with the whipped egg white.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and 1/2 tsp cinnamon, then sprinkle it over the cinnamon rolls.
  5. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes.
  6. Once baked, remove from the oven and spread the apple pie filling over the cinnamon rolls.
  7. In another bowl, mix the softened butter, flour, brown sugar, and 1 tsp cinnamon using a fork to create the crumble mixture.
  8. Sprinkle the crumble evenly over the apple pie filling, followed by the chopped pecans.
  9. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Optionally, drizzle with icing from the cinnamon rolls, or serve with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce.

Notes

You can use any brand of cinnamon rolls for this recipe.
For added flavor, try using different types of nuts or spices in the crumble topping.
Serving with vanilla ice cream elevates this dessert to a whole new level.
