Description
Enjoy the delightful taste of grilled shrimp skewers made with marinated shrimp, fresh garlic, and a splash of lemon. This dish blends vibrant flavors and is perfect for quick dinners or entertaining guests, bringing the essence of summer grilling to your table.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb. large shrimp, peeled and deveined, tail on
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice from 1 lemon, about 3 Tablespoons of juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground or cracked pepper
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, olive oil, sea salt, and pepper.
- Add the shrimp to the mixture and toss well to coat. Allow the shrimp to marinate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Thread the marinated shrimp onto metal or soaked wooden skewers, discarding any leftover marinade.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Place the shrimp skewers on the grill and cook for about 2 minutes on each side until the shrimp becomes pink and opaque.
- Remove the skewers from the grill and serve hot, with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the shrimp, if desired.
Notes
For enhanced flavor, let shrimp marinate for a longer time, up to 1 hour.
Do not overcrowd the skewers for even cooking on the grill.
Serve with a side of fresh salad for a complete meal.
