Description

Enjoy the delightful taste of grilled shrimp skewers made with marinated shrimp, fresh garlic, and a splash of lemon. This dish blends vibrant flavors and is perfect for quick dinners or entertaining guests, bringing the essence of summer grilling to your table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb. large shrimp, peeled and deveined, tail on
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice from 1 lemon, about 3 Tablespoons of juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground or cracked pepper
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, olive oil, sea salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the shrimp to the mixture and toss well to coat. Allow the shrimp to marinate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  3. Thread the marinated shrimp onto metal or soaked wooden skewers, discarding any leftover marinade.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Place the shrimp skewers on the grill and cook for about 2 minutes on each side until the shrimp becomes pink and opaque.
  5. Remove the skewers from the grill and serve hot, with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the shrimp, if desired.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, let shrimp marinate for a longer time, up to 1 hour.
Do not overcrowd the skewers for even cooking on the grill.
Serve with a side of fresh salad for a complete meal.
