- juice of one lemon

- dash freshly ground black pepper
- 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil and stir in 1 teaspoon of kosher salt. Add the spaghetti and cook for the time specified on the package. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- As the spaghetti nears completion, heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt the butter. Stir in the minced garlic and lemon zest, cooking for about one minute until fragrant.
- Mix in the lemon juice, 1/2 cup of the reserved pasta water, 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, and a dash of black pepper. Whisk to combine.
- Afterward, add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat. Stir in the grated parmesan cheese, adjusting with additional reserved pasta water for a smoother sauce. Season with extra salt and pepper according to taste.
