Ingredients
Scale
- 30 Oreo cookies
- 4 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 – 8 ounce packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 3 large eggs
- red & blue gel food colors
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees and line a 9×13 pan with foil.
- Place the cookies in a food processor and pulse until they turn into crumbs.
- Stir in the melted butter until well combined. Press this mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan and bake for 10 minutes. Allow to cool.
- On the bottom rack of the oven, place a large baking sheet filled halfway with water. Then, let the oven preheat again.
- In a bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar together until creamy. Add the sour cream, vanilla, and flour, and mix again until combined.
- Gently mix in the eggs until just combined.
- Divide the batter into three bowls and tint two with red and blue food coloring.
- Spoon the colored mixtures alternately over the crust, and swirl together with a butter knife without over mixing.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, then remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack for 1 hour.
- Refrigerate for 4-6 hours before cutting into squares and serving with whipped cream and sprinkles if desired.
Notes
Using room temperature cream cheese helps achieve a smooth batter.
Allowing the bars to chill for several hours enhances the flavors and texture.
When swirling the colors, be gentle to maintain the separation of colors.
