Description

These Red White and Blue Cheesecake Bars are a delicious treat, featuring a creamy filling and a cookie crust. Perfect for parties or simple desserts, they bring vibrant colors and delightful flavors to your celebration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 30 Oreo cookies
  • 4 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 38 ounce packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • red & blue gel food colors

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees and line a 9×13 pan with foil.
  2. Place the cookies in a food processor and pulse until they turn into crumbs.
  3. Stir in the melted butter until well combined. Press this mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan and bake for 10 minutes. Allow to cool.
  4. On the bottom rack of the oven, place a large baking sheet filled halfway with water. Then, let the oven preheat again.
  5. In a bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar together until creamy. Add the sour cream, vanilla, and flour, and mix again until combined.
  6. Gently mix in the eggs until just combined.
  7. Divide the batter into three bowls and tint two with red and blue food coloring.
  8. Spoon the colored mixtures alternately over the crust, and swirl together with a butter knife without over mixing.
  9. Bake for 45-50 minutes, then remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack for 1 hour.
  10. Refrigerate for 4-6 hours before cutting into squares and serving with whipped cream and sprinkles if desired.

Notes

Using room temperature cream cheese helps achieve a smooth batter.
Allowing the bars to chill for several hours enhances the flavors and texture.
When swirling the colors, be gentle to maintain the separation of colors.
