Ingredients
Scale
- 1 small seedless watermelon
- 8 apples
- ½ yellow honeydew melon
- 4 cups strawberries, stems removed
- 2 cups raspberries
- 2 cups blueberries
- 1 cup red grapes
- 1 cup blackberries
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice for soaking apples per 1 cup of water
Instructions
- Wash all fruit and let them dry.
- Cut the watermelon, apples, and honeydew into small squares. Halve or quarter the strawberries based on their size. If not serving immediately, soak sliced apples in a lemon juice and water mixture for at least 10 minutes (1 tablespoon of lemon juice per 1 cup of water).
- Arrange blueberries and blackberries at the top left of your serving dish as a guide for layering. Fill the dish with layers of red, white, and blue fruits until everything is used or you achieve your desired look.
- Use a star cookie cutter to cut stars from one apple. Place the apple stars on the blue layer to finish the patriotic theme.
Notes
Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for freshness.
You can substitute fruits based on seasonal availability for variety.
Feel free to add other berries like cranberries or pomegranate for extra flavor.
