- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup salted butter (melted)
- 8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- 6 oz strawberry flavored gelatin
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 lb fresh strawberries (sliced)
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients and preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Pulse pretzels and brown sugar in a food processor until combined but still chunky.
- Add melted butter and pulse until the mixture is evenly moistened.
- Press the crust mixture firmly into the bottom of an 8×8 baking dish lined with parchment. Bake for 10 minutes until golden brown. Let cool completely.
- Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla together in a mixing bowl with a hand mixer.
- Pour heavy cream into the cream cheese mixture and beat until smooth. Spread evenly over the cooled pretzel crust. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Stir strawberry gelatin powder into boiling water until fully dissolved. Refrigerate until thickened, about 30 minutes.
- Fold sliced strawberries into the thickened gelatin. Pour evenly over the cream cheese layer. Chill for 2 to 4 hours until set.
- Slice and serve chilled.
Notes
For the best texture, ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature before mixing.
Chilling the salad for longer enhances the flavor and setting process.
