Description

This Sushi Bowl combines irresistible flavors and fresh ingredients into a delightful meal. Perfect for a quick dinner or a healthy lunch, it’s easy to make and satisfying for sushi lovers.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 1 garlic clove finely minced
  • 16 ounces imitation crab meat
  • 1 avocado cut into slices
  • 1 cup shelled edamame
  • 2 carrots peeled and cut into match sticks
  • 4 mini cucumbers sliced thin
  • .35 ounce roasted seaweed
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a small pot, bring the sushi rice and water to a boil.
  2. Once boiling, reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes.
  3. While the rice is cooking, mix the rice vinegar, sugar, and kosher salt in a bowl, stirring until dissolved.
  4. After cooking, incorporate the vinegar mixture into the rice, mixing well to ensure absorption.

Notes

Make sure to rinse the sushi rice thoroughly to remove excess starch for a perfect texture.
Adjust the sriracha and mayonnaise to control the level of spiciness for your taste preference.
